When I was first walking around trying to sell my first book, not really having much in the way of a clue how to do that, there were a few people who were helpful that advised me.

One of these people was a man who was in charge, at that time, of the Bodhi Tree Bookstore. The Bodhi Tree Bookstore was and still is at the moment, I feel, one of the best bookstores on the planet. It’s one of those places where you can just go and sit and read and get clear about what it is you want to take home with you. They don’t push at you. They don’t come over and bother you, they just let you feel the love in the place.

Right now Bodhi Tree may or may not be around indefinitely. If you live in Los Angeles this is a good time to get yourself over to the Bodhi Tree and soak up as much of that ambiance as you can and while you’re at it buy a few books, take a couple of photos maybe from the outside and remember the good times you had there or the good time perhaps you’re having there now if it’s your first time and know that the wisdom that’s passed through there is not only what’s in print but also what was offered in word and deed by those who worked there.

I was in the Beaux Arts museum in Lyon (France) on Sunday and when I walked out, these hearts appeared - I followed them across the street into the Place des Terraux and there were people drawing hearts and messages of love on the pavement - others were handing out the chalk. A flash mob love-in.

I wanted to share something with you that I received as a note from my friend who goes publicly by the name of lessermystery.

It's a acknowledgement of passages, motion you understand, from one way of being to another. Then commitment towards that way of being while all the time acknowledging that the mystery still surrounds one.

I feel really good about this note and wanted to share it with you.

I have begun to make an effort to take better care of mother nature since the oil spill. That rocked my world and really clarified what's important. My efforts are indeed small, and I always wish I could do more, and sometimes I slip back into some negligent behaviours. Weakness of mind over matter sometimes when the stress gets high.

I ask her to understand that I am mortal,and sometimes can't get past my ego, although I'm always aware at these times, that this is the case.

I have added a little more to my caring, little by little over the months since the spill.

Here is an anecdote that will make you smile:

About a week back, I walked past some shattered glass on the sidewalk. That last time that happened, it was very early in the morning, on a side street, so I decided to pick up all the shards of glass so that the birds and squirrels wouldn't step on them. I knew I might look a bit odd, but not too many people around.

This time, it was on a busy street, in broad daylight, outside a bank. I notified the bank about the broken glass, and offered to clean it up. They said they would do it.

I went on my way home.

A crow cawed out from a tree. I felt like he was daring me to clean it up. I went to the store, bought a little hand held broomie thing, a little dustpan, went back to the bank, and cleaned up all the broken glass. Some people laughed, looked at me funny, but I figured if the city caretakers didn't look crazy cleaning it up, then why should I? They get paid to do it!!

Anyway, on my way back home, same crow, (it seemed) seemed to be laughing at me with its cawing. I will willing to look stupid for love, I guess - but I get a kick out of the crows and maybe they get a kick out of me, I don't know.

When the signs are more "dramatic", I ask God to remember that I'm a mortal, and not used to these things, but I'm always present to God, to nature as much as I can be, with the connection growing, and the fear lessening as this becomes more a part of my "language".

Too Much Snow for Bodhi

What do you read to relax and let go of the cares and stresses of the day? Sometimes I like to read cozy mysteries, when I'm not reading or writing blogs that is :)

I may have picked this up as a relaxation method from noticing my mother reading Agatha Christie mysteries when I was a youngster. The books were around the house of course but in those days I was more interested in baseball and what was Duke Snider up to with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Nowadays though a nice cozy mystery, an easy chair to relax in and a recollection of my father reading the newspaper in the big red chair as we used to call it (Dad's chair) brings forth a smile and makes it easier to flow into the story.

Changes In How I Post

For a long time now I've been sharing the wisdom I have with you in print here on these blogs and even stories on the stories blog but now I find as I get older I'm going to have to do this in a way that's easier for me and doesn't tire me out quite so much eh :-) so I'm going to shift over completely to video which I've been planing for a long time.

You'll still see video on Explorer Race as you have been so that won't change very much and you'll still see that also on my You Tube BenevolentMagic site so that won't change either but as far as all the transcribed material, that which I have written and posted through the usual process but instead of thinking and typing I've recorded it and transcribed it and posted just in case you're interested, that's all got to stop now because it's too much for one person to do.

Anyway I'm just letting you know. Feel free to consult with these blogs. I may still post, from time to time a video on these blogs here or there so you can watch for that but I'm afraid you're going to have to say goodbye to the print version. Maybe you won't miss it that much.

When I put up video these days it will mostly be Grandfather channeling through me but who knows...maybe there will be other things too.

I just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed interacting with all of you and it's not totally goodbye but it will be different. So, just to let you know. I love you all. Goodnight and goodlife.

When I lived In A "National Park"

I can remember throughout my life hearing people say - I wish I could live here - when they were describing some vacation they had maybe to Yellowstone Park or to Banff or for some other major park or place to visit. Hot springs that are found all over the world - Japan, other places.

I actually had the privilege of living in a place for quite a while that might have easily been a park. A place that people would go to marvel at the beauties of nature.

It is a place not that many miles from the Grand Canyon and it is a place of astonishing beauty and that's Sedona, Arizona. It's almost as if someone forgot when they were signing up places to be parks in the US like Yellowstone or Yosemite - it's almost as if they said - oh we'll get around to that place in Arizona but then they forgot.

I'm not blaming them, I'm just saying that living in Sedona, Arizona feels almost like you're living in a treasured park. Huge beautiful rock mesas with various shapes with different names. It's an amazing thing to see and just as amazing to be able to live in it and near it and so close to it.

I've included a picture here so you can appreciate the beauty of the place. I'm not trying to pitch it or sell it, I'm just saying that it's amazing that such a place is available for residence.

So, just thought I'd mention it. It is a place I really enjoyed and there's a lot of good folks living there as well. Goodlife.

I find that the beaches here in Hawaii are some of the most beautiful in the world and I know that many people agree as they flock here to enjoy the warm sun year-round and enjoy each others company as well.

That's why I'm reluctant to underscore something that I've written about before on these blogs and even stressed on later posts as well as had material published in the Sedona Journal of Emergence about these matters.

I have been guided that there are a great many possibilities that will involve life in the sea. One of these possibilities is that life in the sea will need access to the shorelines even when it upsets us because of events that unfold.

Nevertheless I feel that it is important to underscore once again that it might be a good thing to build homes further away from the beaches and to have access by us - people - to some beaches but not all. We must respect the life in the sea and I feel other life on the planet as well. I know many of you agree with me.

So I'm just bringing that up today because I feel it's important enough to reiterate. Goodlife my friends.
