Have driven this pass before in winter, spring, summer and fall. It is a spectacular and beautiful drive. However, now and then, this happens. Try to remember, if you're going to drive or ride it, mountain weather is often unpredictable.

On one occasion, in a mountain community I was visiting, it was a bright and sunny day. And then it rained for a while and then snowed for a while and then the sun came out again and it was a bright, warm and sunny day again. This all over a time of about 50 minutes. Mountain weather - not boring.
