It's funny how our minor differences can seem so much bigger than they really are at times.

A Song In My Head

For as far back as I can remember I have on occasion woken up with a song in my head. This morning I woke up with this great song and these were the exact lyrics that I remembered even though they’re not exactly what is said in the song, “When you are worried and cannot sleep just count your blessings instead of sheep and you’ll fall asleep counting your blessings.” 

I can’t help but think that this is some kind of teaching because like many people these days I’ve had some troubles, challenges, things I have to deal with and things I can’t escape because it’s happening in my life and of course, many of my friends are having challenges and troubles too and I know many of you are as well.

I don’t know that this song was meant to take those troubles away, I think more it was meant to change my attitude, to go with the flow of it as in okay, this is happening and maybe instead of focusing just on my troubles I can look at the other side of my life where I am blessed, where I have friends and how many good things I’ve experienced in my life. 

Maybe it’s just that simple. I can’t be sure but if I find out that it’s different maybe I’ll share that some time in the future. For right now I just wanted to hear that great song.

Here is a beautiful video with music by Frederic Delarue about Rennes le Chateau. I noticed it especially because of my friend Nancy Safford who has been taking people there on spiritual tours for a long time. And so when I noticed Frederic's video I wanted to play it and as you may note - when you play it once it may not be enough. The music is really beautiful and the sights as well.
